We started Kalsa in 2020 to help Canadians get better with money. Our mission is to increase the financial wellbeing of individuals and their communities through the power of social-first financial products.
Whether you’re paying a friend for your share of the rent, saving with your partner for the down payment on a house, or investing for retirement – these are things that we do with others.
Humans are social. Their financial interactions are also social. Yet, the closest thing we have to a social-first financial product is the “joint account”.
We want to create products that extend beyond you and another person. We want to create products that bring access and rewards to entire groups and communities. While we are starting with payments, we see a future where we can help groups save and invest together for the things that matter to them. All in one great user experience that does not exclude people based on their income, stage of life, or social background.
We are bringing “social” to finance. Starting with payments.
